Digital content creator and talent manager Mulamwah has officially issued a statement after losing his TikTok account, which had amassed over 1 million followers.
Sharing a screenshot of the now inactive account, which simply reads, “account banned… this account Mulamwah is no longer available” when searched, the father of two downplayed the situation, emphasizing that there were bigger things to worry about.
He noted that while losing his account was indeed a loss, it was not something that would keep him down. Mulamwah told his fans that he would have been more bothered if it were a different type of account that had vanished.
“Bora Equity account iko sawa we move!!!” the comedian captioned the post, which he shared on his Instagram stories.
In closing, Mulamwah cautioned his fans to be vigilant to avoid conmen, as he had not yet opened a new TikTok account. Sharing a photo of himself looking a little dejected, the comedian wrote, “For now, I do not have a TikTok account. Msiibiwe huko (don’t get stolen from while there).”
His banned account boasted a following of over 1.1 million followers and had collectively amassed over 16.1 million likes.
Some of the reasons that can lead to losing a TikTok account include:
- Sharing content that threatens public safety. Advocating for, directing, or encouraging others to commit violence is grounds for closure.
- Sharing explicit content. Content that depicts or promotes exploitation, nudity, or glorifies grooming and other harmful activities involving minors violates TikTok’s community guidelines.
- Repeatedly violating intellectual property. This includes resharing content created by other creators, among other violations.
