The Kenyan entertainment community is mourning the loss of Xavier Jerry Nato, a former actor from the popular TV series “Tahidi High” and the founder of Millaz Productions.
Nato passed away after a prolonged illness, including kidney failure.
In November, Nato’s family made a public appeal for financial assistance as he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for specialized treatment. Despite the support received, Nato succumbed to his illness, leaving a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him.
News of Nato’s passing was shared on social media by his close friend, Job Masika, who expressed profound sorrow:
“I have lost a brother, confidant, and friend. If I were to write a book about my life, Xavier would take half of the book. My feelings are conflicted. I can’t even describe how I’m feeling. It’s a mixture of shock, devastation, and pain bundled in my heart.”
Kenyans flooded social media with heartfelt messages, comforting Nato’s family and mourning his untimely death.
Hannington Ochieng expressed his struggle to comprehend the news, while Anne Nakhumicha remarked, “Ooohhh Noo! I thought he was getting better!” Karimi Wa Muche added, “Geez! oh my! This is beyond sad ghai may he rest in perfect peace.” Aqua Njeru noted, “Oh no! Oh Xavier. May he Rest In Peace. “If Malala says fire, young people are responding by saying?”
“Fire!” the group responds in unison.
Malala captioned the post with a somber message:
“The grim reaper’s hand has robbed me of a brother. A sad day it is. Rest easy, buddy. Fly with the angels, Xavier Jerry Nato. One day, Death too shall die.”
Nato’s contributions to the Kenyan entertainment industry were significant. He was known for his roles in “Tahidi High” and “Salem,” and he founded Millaz Productions, which played a pivotal role in nurturing local talent.
His passing follows the recent loss of another Kenyan actress, Eillen Otieno, known as Senje, who succumbed to complications from a leg infection. She was part of the cast in “Shanga” on Maisha Magic, “Black and Blue,” and “Igiza” on Showmax.
Nato’s death has left a profound impact on his friends, family, and fans. His dedication to the arts and his vibrant personality will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As the Kenyan entertainment industry reflects on his legacy, many are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of supporting one another during challenging times.
