Germany-based TikToker Nyako has fired back at Dem wa Facebook after the latter discussed Nyako’s recent comments about Eric Omondi on her show with Oga Obinna.
Nyako accuses Eric Omondi of stealing her idea
Recently, Nyako went live on TikTok, asserting that she was the pioneer in starting a foundation dedicated to helping others.
The mother of three claimed that Eric Omondi had taken her idea of helping the needy and vowed to resume her fundraising efforts for others.
She stated,
“Have you ever seen anyone in Kenya who suddenly becomes famous, starts a foundation, and begins helping people? I was the first to do that. Even Eric Omondi stole my idea of using social media to collect money and assist those in need. I am the one who pioneered it.”
However, Eric Omondi, in an interview with UPEPO.co.ke, asserted that the concept of helping people has existed long before Nyako’s involvement.
“I attended Daystar University after transferring from Kisumu Boys, and I recall a person named Bob who organized a fundraiser to support my education. The act of helping others has been around since the beginning of time. I don’t believe it’s something you can claim someone stole from you,” he said.
Nyako vs Dem wa Facebook
A video of Dem wa Facebook discussing Nyako after her accusation that Eric Omondi had copied her idea did not sit well with the TikTok star. In the video, Dem wa Facebook remarked,
“Baby, Nyako said she was the one who started the idea of helping the needy, and Eric Omondi copied her.”
Obinna also expressed surprise and chose not to delve further, saying, “Kuna wanawake wawili naogopa. Nyako na wewe,” which translates to, “I fear two women. Nyako and you.”
In response, the controversial TikToker lashed out at Dem wa Facebook.
“I woke up and found myself being addressed by some villager from who knows where—Butere or Busia. Apparently, she has an opinion about me. Is the fame she has in Kenya not enough that she needs to seek attention abroad? I feel like I’m addressing someone from the borders of Uganda. If I matter to you enough for you to mention me, then you must understand that I have no reason to mention you. Keep chasing cheap clout back in Kenya,” an irate Nyako said.
In response to Nyako’s comments, many netizens voiced their support for Dem wa Facebook. Here’s what some of them had to say:
- Zamu commented, “Dem wa Facebook is a G❤️.”
- Jiji❣️💦 wrote, “😅💔😂 Villagers got me 😅 on a floor, mimi kama villager.”
- Doreenkendi385 said, “Waiting for response 😂😂.”
- Avier pointed out, “But you have already mentioned them.”
- Belinda Yvonne added, “Busia was just chilling🥺🥺.”
- Daughter of Nomad remarked, “But you are already addressing her 😅😅😅.”
