Through tears, Nyaboke Moraa thanked Blak for giving her Marie and for the daily encouragement.
“Blak, thank you so much for giving me Marie and supporting me every single day because I’m heartbroken. The pain is so intense that not even medication can alleviate it. Ethan, you’ve been a great support, but today I have to let myself break down,” she said.
Struggling to come to terms with her daughter’s death, Nyaboke was comforted by her two sisters and best friend, Sandra Dacha, as she was escorted back to her seat.
“Marie was my only daughter. I was just a child myself when I had her. If I started to talk about her, it would take a whole book. I spent the entire night outside with her, talking with her, and now I don’t know how to tell her to rest in peace,” she added, her voice breaking with grief.
