The newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence, Soipan Tuya, introduced her family during a photo opportunity with President William Ruto at State House.
Senior state officials and the families of the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries attended the swearing-in ceremony at State House Nairobi on Thursday, August 8.
Among the notable attendees were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Among the Cabinet Secretaries sworn in was Soipan Tuya, who donned a stylish grey trouser suit for the ceremony.
Her family accompanied her to the memorable event, and they all looked dashing during the photo session with President William Ruto.
A little boy from Soipan’s family particularly captured hearts as he stood beside the president during the photo op. Kenyans, curious about the new Cabinet Secretaries’ families, were treated to a glimpse of them during the swearing-in ceremony.
In July, President William Ruto announced changes to his Kenya Kwanza Cabinet, including a significant reassignment. Environment Cabinet Secretary nominee Soipan Tuya was moved to the Ministry of Defence.
She was one of six Cabinet Secretaries from the previous administration reappointed to the new government.
