Equity Bank Kenya has announced several executive-level job vacancies as of August 2024.
The bank is inviting qualified and interested candidates to apply for positions across various sectors, including digital banking and customer service.
1. Group Head of Merchants and Agents
The role involves overseeing the strategic development and expansion of agency and merchant operations.
Ideal candidates should hold a university degree in banking, business management, or IT, and possess at least 10 years of experience in banking or financial services, particularly in agency and merchant operations.

2. TVET Scholarship and Opportunity Linkages Manager
The role involves managing and administering scholarships for TVET beneficiaries.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, business, or a related field, and have at least five years of experience in program management.

3. Channels Support Specialist – Telephony
The role involves overseeing and supporting the bank’s telephony systems, mobile channels, and applications to ensure continuous (24/7/365) service availability across the group.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science and at least five years of experience in a high-activity IT environment.
4. Channels Support Specialist – Internet Banking
The job holder will be responsible for supporting the business in reaching its goals and objectives by implementing effective practices to meet strategic targets and providing product support to customers.
Candidates must possess a degree in computer science, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.

5. Head of Faith-Based Sector-Kenya
The role focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with churches and religious institutions.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in commerce, a business-related field, or theology. Additionally, they should have served as a bishop, pastor, priest, catechist, or reverend within the past five years.

6. Legal Manager – Commercial
This position involves developing and implementing strategies, systems, and policies for various sections and engaging stakeholders to adopt these strategies.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university and have 8 to 10 years of legal experience.
7. Program Coordinator – Global Universities Program (GUP)
The job holder will be tasked with fostering a global perspective and offering international experiences to over 7,000 scholars and alumni in Kenya and globally.
Candidates should possess a master’s degree from a prominent institution, global experience in any field, or a bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant experience.

8. Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering
A qualified candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction and technical design of cloud infrastructure and solutions.
The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field, and have at least five years of relevant experience.

9. Senior Network Engineer
The officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure its optimal performance and security.

10. Senior Manager, Cloud Operations
The job holder will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operation of cloud infrastructure and services.
The ideal candidate must have over five years of extensive experience in managing and leading cloud operations teams.

11. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
The individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure and scalable cloud solutions.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
