Her visa is set to expire at the end of the month, and she needs to raise over KSh 150,000 to cover the costs associated with her visa.

Why Becky Akinyi is asking for help

During a live session, Becky Akinyi expressed her embarrassment about publicly asking for help, noting that she has never borrowed money from anyone before.

She shared,

“I just needed financial support, and I hope I get help. You guys don’t know how much I’ve been trying to borrow money from people since the start of the month. Literally, no one wants to loan me money, even though I’ve never asked anyone for cash before. I feel so embarrassed. I’m going to cover my head and not uncover it.”

Becky also mentioned her aversion to asking for help, revealing that she had considered working as a house help in Kenya because she desperately needed money.

Becky also mentioned that she has no diaspora friends to turn to for financial assistance, as she often spends time alone and hasn’t built a network of contacts in Dubai.
