Mugithii artist and law enforcement officer Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, is celebrating joyously after successfully earning a bachelor’s degree in business information technology.
The father of five is among hundreds of students celebrating their educational milestone as they graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
On his social media, Samidoh shared a photo of himself and his schoolmates, all smiling broadly in their graduation regalia as they posed for a selfie.
“Congratulations!!! Fellow Graduands of Discover JKUAT. Leo hakuna kukuja sura na vile kwa hizi streets mmekuwa mmenuna 🎓😄,” wrote the vernacular artist, adding emojis to his post.
Four days ago, Samidoh had posted a throwback photo of himself from his early days in campus when he started at the diploma level. Reflecting on his journey, he expressed pride in how far he had come and reiterated his passion for education and hopes for a bright future.
He openly shared that it took him approximately seven years to finally graduate, emphasizing the importance of perseverance throughout his educational journey.
“From a very young age, I have been deeply passionate about education. This same passion led me to pursue higher education in my ‘old age’ 😜 at JKUAT Nakuru Campus during the academic year 2015-2016.
“So guys, I found myself in class with much younger peers. Thank God my appetite wasn’t as big, so I knew while they went out to play, I went home to take care of my responsibilities. I had just welcomed a newborn, so I had many duties to balance.
“I had also released my first album ‘Ndiri Mutwe,’ and by God’s grace, my music career flourished, and I became known as the Singing Police Man. With added responsibilities, I realized the importance of pursuing my education first, so I later joined JKUAT Juja in 2018, through the Sodel Program… story to be continued.
“In everything you aim to achieve, focus and determination are key. Pursue what you believe in, and one day, it will pay off,” part of his post read.
