Businessman Kennedy Rapudo, also known as Tajiri, has publicly expressed his gratitude to his fiancée Amber Ray for emphasizing the importance of patience.
Rapudo shared his personal experience, revealing that he waited for two years for Amber to become his partner. This story highlights the significance of perseverance and patience in relationships, with Rapudo using his journey with Amber Ray as an inspiring example.
The father of three shared the story of how he first met his fiancée, Amber Ray, a nightclub host and social media influencer. Initially, Amber did not show much interest in Rapudo and even attempted to set him up with one of her friends.
Rapudo mentioned it happened by chance, in what he described as being in the right place at the right time. He narrated:
“There used to be a club along Thika Road, I can’t quite remember the name but it was famous during the COVID period when there was corona. It was a place where people used to go, pack cars, and chill as they drank and ate. One day I was there, hanging out with some of my friends, we were seated at a corner just drinking, and there was this lady who kept on looking at me.”
This fortuitous meeting marked the beginning of their relationship, with Rapudo’s patience and persistence eventually leading to their engagement.
Kennedy Rapudo, known as Tajiri, recounted his initial meeting with Amber Ray in an interview with Parents Magazine. Reflecting on their first encounter, he said:
“At the back of my head, I was like, ‘Why is this chile constantly looking at me?’ Kumbe that was Amber Ray. That is how we first met.”
Rapudo shared that he eventually approached Amber and introduced himself, saying, “Hey, I’ve seen you on social media. You look very beautiful.” However, at the time, Amber was dating someone else and thus began their prolonged dance of timing and patience.
Interestingly, Rapudo noted that once Amber was single again, she was the one who sought him out. He humorously recounted:
“I’m the one who went to her, introduced myself, and then after that, we met again but alikuwa na kamtu. Then we met again but I was seeing someone. But immediately she went back to being single again, pap! I snatched her up,” he said, giggling.
This story highlights the patience and persistence that marked the early days of their relationship, leading to their eventual engagement.
He concluded his story by emphasizing the value of patience in his relationship with Amber Ray. He said:
“Patience pays. I didn’t waste time because I was in the queue for almost 2 good years. Patience pays. She kept looking at me because she wanted to hook me up with one of her friends, but I was interested in her.”
He went on to describe how things eventually fell into place:
“One day, when she was available, she called or texted me… can’t remember. She asked me if I wanted to have a glass of wine, and the rest is history.”
Rapudo’s story underscores the importance of perseverance and timing in building meaningful relationships, culminating in his engagement to Amber Ray.
