Raila Odinga respectfully removed his cap as he viewed Fred’s body, then waved his hand in his characteristic manner. When he took the stage, the politician began to sing, with mourners joining in. “Nikiitwa nitaitika, kutumikia waafrika. Kwenye vita vya moto, twapambana kama mashujaa,” Raila sang. This gesture brought a smile to the faces of mourners, including Eric Omondi, who was seen beside his partner.
Fred Omondi’s child’s mother is Rose Achieng’. She initially expressed apprehension about visiting Fred’s home, unsure of the reception she would receive. However, she was warmly welcomed. Rose disclosed that she and Fred’s daughter, Kyla Omondi, who is two years old, share a close bond. They met at a wedding and connected after exchanging contacts. Rose mentioned that Fred adhered to Luo customs by shaving Kyla’s hair for the first time.
