The “Perfect Design” hitmaker posted a photo on his Instagram page that showcased a luxurious timepiece while advertising an alcoholic beverage.
What drew significant attention from his fans was not just the product he was promoting, but the striking Gucci GG2570 watch on his wrist.
The Gucci GG2570, a classic piece from the luxury brand, was initially designed in the 1950s and has since become a coveted item among watch enthusiasts.
This particular model, which Nyashinski was seen wearing, features a distinctive Red Green strap, a design element that has become iconic for Gucci watches.
The model Nyashinski flaunted is priced at approximately 1,200 euros, which converts to roughly KSh 170,860. This adds to Nyashinski’s reputation as someone who appreciates high-end fashion and luxury.
Nyashinski’s choice of wristwear places him among a select group of high-profile Kenyans known for their expensive tastes in watches.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, for instance, was well-known for his impressive collection. During his decade-long tenure, he was frequently seen sporting a range of luxurious timepieces. His collection reportedly included the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, valued at KSh 3 million, another Audemars Piguet Royal Oak priced at KSh 3,899,500, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual worth KSh 529,200, and the Arnold & Son HM Perpetual Moon, which cost around KSh 3,200,000. Additionally, he owned a Rolex Submariner Green Bezel priced at KSh 855,000 and the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Collection, valued at KSh 3,399,900. The total estimated value of his watch collection was around KSh 12 million.
Current President William Ruto has also been spotted with high-end timepieces, including a BVLGARI Finissimo, which costs approximately KSh 1 million. The choice of such a luxurious watch complements his public image of affluence and sophistication.
Former Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has not been left out of the trend. He was seen wearing a Hublot Classic Fusion Ceramic King Gold watch, which carries a hefty price tag of around SGD 2 million. His choice highlights the growing trend among Kenyan elites to showcase their wealth through high-end accessories.
In a recent development, MP Oscar Sudi drew attention when he showcased his watch to media personality Oga Obinna during an interview.
Although he did not disclose the brand, an image search revealed that the watch could be worth up to KSh 17 million. Sudi confirmed the estimated value but kept the brand of the watch under wraps.
Additionally, he mentioned owning another watch, further emphasizing his penchant for luxury.
Nyashinski’s recent fashion statement with his Gucci watch adds him to this list of Kenyan celebrities and public figures who are known for their luxurious tastes.
His choice of the Gucci GG2570 not only underscores his personal style but also aligns him with other high-profile individuals in Kenya who embrace and flaunt high-end fashion and accessories.
