In a candid video titled “How I Quit Travel and Made One Million in My First Year on Airbnb,” Miss Trudy explains the reasons behind her recent hiatus from travel content. “I’ve been missing in action,” she begins, acknowledging the change in her online presence. “Life has been quite busy on my end, so I had to take a break to focus on something new.”
Miss Trudy details her journey from travel blogger to Airbnb entrepreneur, sharing how this transition came about. She explains that her decision to step away from travel was not made lightly. “There was no other way around it,” she says, reflecting on her choice to pivot her career. “But now, I’m back and ready to share what I’ve been up to.”
The shift to Airbnb has been a transformative experience for Miss Trudy. She highlights the financial success she has achieved in her first year. “I’ve been able to make money from it,” she reveals. “I just crossed one year on Airbnb, and it’s been an amazing experience.”
Her success began with her Kilimani property, which she initially rented out to her first client for three months at a rate of $1,500. “It was an incredible feeling; I was so happy,” she recalls. The positive experience continued with her second client, who also paid $1,500 for a similar stay. This initial success helped validate her new business venture and set a solid foundation for future growth.
Despite the promising start, Miss Trudy acknowledges that her journey has not been without challenges. “It hasn’t all been smooth sailing,” she admits. “I’ve been able to make over $9,000 in my first year on Airbnb.
