Zabron Singer’s soloist, Marco Joseph, has passed away while undergoing treatment.
What was Marco’s final message to his brother?
Japhet, Marco’s brother, took to social media to share a heartfelt message about the late musician.
In his tribute, Japhet revealed that Marco’s final request was for prayers so that he could recover and film a music video together.
Japhet recalled Marco’s last words: “Recently, he told me, ‘I am proud of you, my teacher.’ His final request was, ‘Pray for me to get well so that we can shoot the Akida song together.'”
Japhet also expressed his anguish to God, explaining that he had entrusted Marco’s fate to divine care. “I didn’t want to post anything because I left it in your hands, God. But now, God, what is this you have done? It can’t be this way. Oh God, no,” Japhet lamented.
Did Ruto meet with Marco Joseph before his death?
Shortly after news of Marco Joseph’s death emerged, a photo from his time in Kenya resurfaced, showing him with other choir members during their visit.
They had participated in President William Ruto’s swearing-in ceremony, performing his favorite song, “Mkono Wa Bwana.” This song highlights how God has guided and uplifted them.
The photo, taken at State House in Nairobi, shows President Ruto and his wife, Rachel, surrounded by female singers, with Marco and the other men positioned in the back row.
The crowd at Kasarani stood in admiration as Marco and the choir delivered their performance. This wasn’t the first time Zabron Singers interacted with the president; prior to the 2022 general elections, Ruto had sought permission from the choir to use the song in his campaign rallies, making it a staple of the Kenya Kwanza campaign.
What happened after Marco’s death?
Victoria, Marco’s sister, shared details about her brother’s final moments and his illness. A video resurfaced online showing Marco fervently pleading with God for healing. His widow, deeply affected, struggled to contain her emotions upon seeing the late singer’s body at the morgue.
