Robert Maliaki Lukumay, presumed dead and buried on May 30 this year at his home in Olgilai village, Arusha, Tanzania, has been spotted alive and walking among the living.
According to Ayo TV, Robert Maliaki Lukumay was pronounced dead after being run over by a truck, with relatives confirming he was the victim.
He was preserved in a morgue, and his body was interred as per tradition, leaving his family members heartbroken.
On June 29, less than a month after his burial, Robert was spotted going about his business as if he had never left.
The supposedly deceased Robert allegedly appeared before his niece Irene, who took him to her place of work and fed him.
The young woman vividly recalled the memorable day her late uncle showed up while she was preparing to light a jiko.
Irene is adamant that the individual she met and fed is indeed Robert because he has all his mannerisms. “He was toothless. I saw how he drank water and chewed food and knew that was definitely Robert,” she narrated.
The young woman recounted questioning her uncle about being alive while the family was mourning him. When he confirmed he was still alive, she immediately called her relatives to inform them of the astonishing development.
“They didn’t believe me at first, but when they came over, they confirmed his identity and took him away,” she continued.
In an almost similar incident, Wilberforce Mbulamaye, who was claimed to be dead and ‘buried’ by his family and relatives, ‘came back to life.’
The father of five returned home after three years, eliciting mixed reactions from his family. Mbulamaye, who was ‘buried’ on June 3, 2020, walked home on Tuesday, April 4, with his brother-in-law.
