Bishop Allan Kiuna left behind a significant legacy, and it is our responsibility to carry it forward,” she concluded.

On July 27, the Daughters of Zion event held at JCC Parklands turned into a deeply emotional occasion as the church honored Reverend Kathy Kiuna’s birthday.

Attending the celebration, Kathy was dressed elegantly in a stylish black dress paired with a coordinating kimono. Despite her efforts to maintain composure, she found herself overcome with emotion as she reflected on the profound impact of her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna.

As Kathy stood amidst the congregation, her thoughts drifted back to the previous year’s birthday, which was marked by an absence that weighed heavily on her.

In 2023, while she was celebrating her birthday, Bishop Kiuna was in the United States undergoing treatment for cancer.

The distance between them was significant, yet Bishop Kiuna’s love and thoughtfulness transcended the miles. He had orchestrated a surprise birthday celebration for Kathy, an act that spoke volumes about his affection and dedication to her.

The poignant remembrance of her husband’s gesture, coupled with the current celebration, left Kathy visibly touched.
