“It’s a family thing; no matter how small the milestone, we make it a point to celebrate. We believe in celebrating while someone is alive,” he explained. Dindi provided an overview of his son’s seventh birthday, describing a day filled with activities. “The day went well. We started with everyone participating in the planning, followed by a board game while waiting for the food. Then we had outdoor games, cake cutting, and ended with music and dancing,” he said.

He mentioned that he invited close family members and friends to celebrate his son’s birthday at their village home in Kakamega. The gathering featured traditional village fare, including brown ugali, which everyone enjoyed heartily.
“We also had fun with board games and various outdoor activities. The kids had a blast, and the adults enjoyed themselves too. There was something for everyone. It was truly a feast and a time of great enjoyment,” the Kakamega dad said.
