Stanley Mulee Mutisya, known for his striking resemblance to Lang’ata MP Jalang’o, recently made headlines by challenging the MP to honor a pledge of support made during a 2021 interview.
Mutisya claimed that despite the lawmaker’s promise to assist him, Jalang’o only provided KSh 1,000 after the interview.
“My landlord constantly remarks on my resemblance to Lang’ata MP Jalang’o, yet I struggle to pay rent on time. After the interview, I received just KSh 1,000, and I was left with only KSh 100 to spend,” Mutisya lamented, expressing his disappointment.
Despite the challenges, Mutisya remains hopeful and optimistic about his future.
Why does Jalang’o’s lookalike want to join politics?
Mutisya expressed a strong desire to enter politics and make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
“Very soon, I will be an MP, and I won’t forget the people who supported me. If we meet on the street and someone asks for help, I will assist them. I won’t be greedy when I succeed,” he vowed.
He also shared his ambitions to follow in Jalang’o’s footsteps by pursuing advertising opportunities and starting a career in content creation and comedy.
“I can do advertising jobs like the ones Jalang’o used to do. I want to follow his path and begin creating content to share online,” he said.
How did Jalang’o respond to “entitled” lookalike?
On Sunday, August 25, Lang’ata MP Jalang’o addressed the claims made by Stanley Mulee Mutisya regarding unfulfilled promises.
Jalang’o expressed surprise and disbelief at Mutisya’s expectations, questioning why his resemblance to the MP should create a sense of obligation on his part. He remarked that it seemed unreasonable for Mutisya to expect support simply based on their physical similarity.
Jalang’o suggested that if Mutisya had concentrated on his own efforts and worked diligently, he might not have found himself in a position where he relied on his appearance for assistance.
