Fred Nyasoro has humorously recounted his four failed attempts at marriage, which have left him feeling quite skeptical.
In a humorous Facebook post, Fred Nyasoro detailed his four unsuccessful attempts at marriage, lamenting that women had repeatedly shown him the cold shoulder.
For his first attempt, Nyasoro took the initiative by going for introductions in Kano, eager to settle down with a petite woman.
He and two friends embarked on a journey, driving a Toyota Vitz from Mombasa to Ahero for the occasion.
Fred Nyasoro began his story with a lighthearted recount of his first attempt at marriage.
“Introductions, unlike nyombo, don’t require many people, so I had only KSh 50,000: KSh 20,000 for each of the parents and KSh 10,000 for catering,” he explained.
His goal was to propose to the young woman and prepare for dowry. However, to his dismay, her father deemed the amount an insult, stating that the introductory token should be at least KSh 100,000.
Despite Nyasoro’s efforts to persuade his girlfriend to convince her father of his good intentions and promise to do better in the future, she insisted he adhere to the demand. Disheartened, Nyasoro decided to take a break and ended up taking his friends to a local pub, where they spent the entire KSh 50,000 on partying.
Undeterred by the setback, Nyasoro moved on and found a new partner. Just when he believed this relationship was headed for a lifetime together, he discovered that she was involved in an affair.
Their relationship was so intense that even when they were together, she would sneak out to visit him.
“The worst part is that they have a daughter together. I couldn’t continue the relationship after finding that out,” Nyasoro recounted.
Remaining ever-optimistic, Nyasoro found a third woman he deeply cared for, even bringing her to his village for family events.
After several visits, his mother also grew fond of the young woman. However, the relationship faced challenges due to the woman’s insecurity, especially concerning Nyasoro’s female social media followers.
“We only broke up when I discovered that, despite all her insecurities, she was the one cheating on me with a married man,” Nyasoro revealed.
In his most recent attempt, Nyasoro describes the experience as a cat-and-mouse game. To this day, he’s unsure whether he was the cat or the mouse in the relationship, but he is now back to being single.
