Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Muthoni Passaris has disclosed that she recently underwent surgery.
Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Muthoni Passaris recently revealed that she underwent surgery, disclosing this information while responding to a Twitter user who inquired about her well-being.
Passaris shared that she is feeling exhausted following her surgery, which took place two weeks ago. She was advised by her doctors to take a three-week bed rest for a full recovery, but she did not adhere to this recommendation due to her strong commitment to her duties. Despite the medical advice, she chose to continue her work, driven by her passion for serving her constituents.
“I’m feeling exhausted. It has been two weeks since my surgery. I was supposed to follow the doctor’s advice to take a three-week bed rest, but duty called, and I am passionate about serving. I am doing everything I can, and I know God loves me for who I am and what I do. I am a woman following God’s own heart,” Passaris explained in her response.
Addressing her critics, Passaris expressed that they lack understanding and empathy. She stated, “Everything else is meaningless; I can only pray for those who hate because they do not know better. They are filled with judgment and see themselves as holier than your perspective. I send them love and peace because they do not know better. Thank you for asking. We will talk tomorrow. Good night, good people.”
This recent surgery is not Passaris’s first. She has previously undergone several operations. In January 2020, Passaris had spinal surgery at CIMS Hospital in India. She revealed that she had the surgery on January 1, the day after arriving in India. During her recovery, she posted a video on her Twitter page showing herself walking with crutches as she regained stability. She also mentioned struggling to find a comfortable sleeping position and having to adjust her posture to alleviate discomfort.
Additionally, Passaris had undergone another surgery at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi in September 2019 to address a back problem. She has been dealing with back issues for nearly two decades and has consulted with more than ten doctors in the country regarding her condition.
