Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi was overcome with grief as he tearfully paid tribute to his late brother, Fred Omondi.
During his brother Fred Omondi’s memorial, Eric Omondi was called to the podium to pay tribute. However, mid-speech, he found himself unable to continue. “Nakupenda, sitasema mob juu ya brother yangu (I love you, I won’t say a lot about my brother…),” he began before breaking down in tears.

As Eric wiped away his tears, Lynne put her arms around his shoulder, soothing him. Despite maintaining a brave face in public, the weight of the loss was evident. “Fred, you have left us so soon. As you join Mum, Dad, and Joseph, you will always be in our thoughts. We thank God for the time and memories we shared. Rest well, brother,” Irene wrote.
