Diana Marua’s househelps, including Justo, Irene, and Josephine, listed their demands regarding their pay
In a tense episode of Diana Marua and Bahati’s reality show, house helps Irene and Josephine clashed, leading to a heated argument.
The two disagreed over the amount each should receive in their pay raise before eventually teaming up against Justo.
The situation escalated as they voiced their frustrations and demands regarding their salaries, creating a dramatic and confrontational scene.
In a recent episode of Diana Marua and Bahati’s reality show, the househelps raised concerns about their pay. Irene stated,
“We had an issue but not a big one. We have been working for you, and you appreciate our work. What we would ask for is a salary raise. We work for Aunt Madough (‘rich auntie).”
Josephine chimed in, noting they heard Diana was planning to move to a bigger house in Kitusuru and demanded their pay reflect the change.
“There is no way you are moving to Kitusuru and paying us peanuts. You should pay us good money because you are a rich auntie,” said Josephine.
Irene further highlighted that Diana and Bahati drive expensive cars, which gives people the impression that their staff are also well-compensated due to their association with the celebrity couple.
“People know us because of you, and they assume we have a lot of money,” she remarked. Josephine added, “Imagine if someone kidnapped me and found out that I only had KSh 50; what embarrassment would that be?”
Irene added that people often ask them to take selfies because of their association with the famous couple, even though they don’t have any money.
“We keep getting people asking us to take selfies because they think we’re famous, but we have no money,” she said. Josephine then laid out their specific demands: “Now, we want you to buy us each a car, a small car (Kadudu), and give us a raise. If you give me KSh 200,000, that will be fine because I have stayed with you for long.”
