Diamond and Zari reunite
On Saturday, August 10, Diamond Platnumz traveled to South Africa to celebrate his daughter’s birthday at Zari Hassan’s luxurious home.
The Tanzanian crooner surprised his daughter, Princess Tiffah, with gifts, and she confessed that she hadn’t expected her dad to make it.
Zari Hassan and Diamond Platnumz enjoyed precious moments with their children on this special day. However, the celebration did not sit well with Zari’s husband, Shakib Lutaaya.
Zari and Shakib’s drama
The situation took a dramatic turn when Zari went live on social media to accuse her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, of insecurity.
During the broadcast, she claimed that her 31-year-old husband frequently questioned why Diamond Platnumz was at her home.
Zari went on to assert that she was the one financially supporting Shakib, which sparked considerable discussion and controversy.
In her emotional address, Zari explained that while she and Shakib have feelings for each other, his insecurities were becoming increasingly overwhelming.
She expressed frustration about constantly having to prove herself and questioned what Shakib brings to the relationship that would justify such doubts.
Zari suggested that Shakib might be better suited to someone who is on his level, indicating that their relationship was being strained by his insecurity.
“I am always proving myself to you every day. What do you bring to the table for me to be proving myself? I don’t think I am for you. I’m very secure, and I chose you, and with your insecurities, you are thinking otherwise. I don’t think I am for you. Maybe you should find someone on your level,” she said.
Zari expressed that Shakib Lutaaya’s insecurities stemmed from his belief that she and Diamond Platnumz might still be involved.
She clarified that she had completely moved on from the musician and emphasized that her relationship with Diamond was firmly in the past.
The businesswoman also revealed that despite having many suitors, she chose Shakib over all others.
Zari further asserted,
“Let me tell you something; if I wanted to get back with Diamond, I could. If Diamond wanted to get back with me, he could.”
Her comments prompted a strong reaction from Shakib Lutaaya, who responded by calling her a miser and stating that she was too old to have another child with him.

On August 15, Diamond Platnumz visited Zari’s home once again, and a clip that has surfaced shows him hugging her warmly.
The Komasava hitmaker also spent playful moments with his children, assembling some of the toys he had bought for his daughter.
Netizens reacted with humor and sympathy to the video of the ex-lovebirds, with many expressing their pity for Shakib.
Sheee_king joked, “Leo Shakib ataongea kiganda adi kamasi 😂😂😂,” suggesting that Shakib might speak in a mix of Luganda and Kiswahili out of frustration.
Fashomaa commented, “Shakib will faint,” indicating that he might be overwhelmed by the situation.
Mc’Jajok Kessy remarked, “Shakib should have known when to exit the stage,” implying that Shakib should have stepped away from the drama earlier.
Kondo.mwanahamis humorously added,
“Maskini Shakib sijui saa hizi kaambiwa akawape mbuzi majani maana simuoni hapo,” expressing concern that Shakib might be struggling to keep up and perhaps even being asked to do menial tasks like providing goats for fodder.
