Mumias East MP Peter Salasya recently made headlines with his confession of having a crush on businesswoman Huddah Monroe.
Taking to social media, Salasya expressed his admiration with enthusiasm, stating, “Huyu Huddah Monroe akinipa ni all gas no breaks. Kufa dereva kufa makanga.
She is a big supporter of us Gen Z.” His remarks highlighted Monroe’s support for the younger generation and her impactful presence.
Huddah Monroe responded to Salasya’s comment with a playful and self-assured note: “Naona bangi za Busia zilimuonyesha mimi,” which humorously suggested that the “herb from Busia” might have influenced his feelings.
Her response reflects her confident and laid-back personality, adding a touch of humor to the situation.
This revelation comes after Monroe’s previous public display of interest in another prominent figure.
In May 2022, she expressed admiration for sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala, known for his impressive performance at the Kip Keino Classic.
Omanyala, who set a world-leading time of 9.85 seconds in the men’s 100 meters, caught Monroe’s attention. She tweeted, “Omanyala is not so bad looking, hapa Kenya ni kama sitoki. @Mpasho connect hiyo date.” This tweet highlighted her interest in the Olympic medalist and her desire to connect with him.
Monroe’s dating preferences and past experiences have been topics of public interest. She has been candid about her views on relationships, particularly her stance on physical attributes versus personality traits.
Monroe has previously stated that she is not a fan of dating “tall, dark, and handsome” men, attributing the difficulty to their mothers and advocating for improved behavior from women raising future generations of men. Her comments reflect her broader perspective on relationships and the challenges she associates with them.
In discussing her ideal partner, Huddah Monroe has been clear about her non-negotiables. She has emphasized the importance of honesty, stating,
“I would never leave a man for cheating. But I’d be quick to leave if he is a liar. I’m not your mother. I won’t beat you up! We are adults keep it 100! Especially black men lie for no reason at all.”
Monroe’s candidness about her past experiences underscores her commitment to truthfulness and transparency in her relationships.
She recounted her past difficulties with dishonesty, sharing an anecdote about her ex who told lies so frequently that even when he was sick, she would need to see him in the emergency room to believe it.
“My ex used to tell little lies that even when he is sick I wouldn’t believe it! I have to see him in ER with a hospital gown to believe it! He could die in front of me and I think he is playing because I need evidence, bro,”
Overall, both Peter Salasya and Huddah Monroe’s interactions reveal their individual personalities and preferences, shedding light on their views on relationships and public figures.
