Tanzanian singer appeals to fans to remove her music following her spiritual conversion.

A video of veteran Tanzanian artist Snura Mushi has surfaced online, in which she requests her fans to cease playing her music as part of her new lifestyle change.

Mushi, who has fully committed to serving God, has asked her fans to show mercy by removing her songs from their playlists.

Why Snura Mushi wants her songs deleted

According to many Muslims, playing secular music can lead to increased judgment, as it may be seen as conflicting with their religious values.

In her own words:

“In humility and with all due respect, I kindly ask you, my brothers and sisters, to heed my request. Please stop playing my songs completely. I am asking that you delete them and act as if nothing ever happened. It is difficult and impractical for me to visit every home and ask them not to play my songs,” she said.

Mushi expressed a desire for people to show her mercy by not playing her music and advised radio stations accordingly.

“If you were once a fan, I request that you delete the songs. I cannot force you, but if you respect my request, I believe God will also respect you. I have made music and acknowledged my mistakes. I am simply asking you to delete them,” she added.
