Citizen TV has finally revealed the replacement for Hassan Mugambi.

Royal Media Services-owned station Citizen TV has announced the replacement for Hassan Mugambi as they revamp their investigative desk.

The media house has recruited seasoned investigative journalist Franklin Wallah from TV47 to join their newsroom.

Wallah, officially introduced to the Citizen TV family by Linus Kaikai, the Editorial Director at Royal Media Services, will take over as the new Crime & Investigations Editor, succeeding Mugambi who departed for a new role in Aden Duale’s office.

Wallah had previously worked at K24 before a brief stint at TV47.

Recently, Linus Kaikai, the Editorial Director at Royal Media Services, introduced Melita Ole Tenges as a new addition to Citizen TV’s team. Ole Tenges joined from Nation Media Group’s NTV, where he spent seven years. In his farewell message, he expressed gratitude to NTV management and his colleagues for the opportunity to work at the media house known as the Twin Towers.

“After an unforgettable 7 years at NTV, I’m starting a new journey. Grateful to God for guiding my journalistic path and to Nation Media Group for the opportunity of a lifetime. Proud of our achievements together,” he stated, thanking his family, friends, viewers, and news sources for their unwavering support and inspiring stories.

Ole Tenges has updated his social media profiles to reflect his new role at Citizen TV, where he first began his career eight years ago. He was warmly welcomed by MD Wachira Waruru and Editorial Director Linus Kaikai, expressing readiness to get to work.

Citizen TV has been revitalizing its newsroom by bringing in new talent following the departure of several top reporters who transitioned into political offices. Alongside Ole Tenges, other recent recruits include Emmanuel Too from KTN, Franklin Wallah from TV47/K24, and Willie Lusige from KTN.

Among the notable talents who recently left Citizen TV are Victoria Rubadiri, Waihiga Mwaura, Hassan Mugambi, Chemutai Goin, and Francis Gachuri.
